Christmas Market in Tegernsee 2026
Visit the Christmas markets around Lake Tegernsee in Bad Wiessee, in Rottach-Egern and in Tegernsee. During all Advent weekends, the romantic markets are open on Saturdays and Sundays. A boat will take you from Christmas market to Christmas market, so you can enjoy the magical Advent atmosphere from the lake.

Bad Wiessee Lake Advent
The Christmas market in Bad Wiessee, homeland of the Hotel Bussi Baby, is right on the lake promenade next to the boat landing stage. Around 20 regional exhibitors offer handmade products made of wood, ceramics or wool as well as regional specialities such as Bavarian whisky punch.
The programme highlights include the Perchten performances and the fascinating ice sculptures. Or get in the mood for Christmas with a romantic carriage ride along the promenade.

Rottacher Advent
You will find another charming Christmas market in the south of the Tegernsee: around the Pavillon in the Kurpark in Rottach-Egern on the shores of the Tegernsee, the stalls invite you to stroll and taste. Artisans offer handmade gifts and souvenirs. You can warm up by the bonfire or with a cup of punch, while the Rottacher Weisenbläser and the Oimdudler provide musical entertainment.
Children will enjoy Christmas crafts, face painting activities, meeting St Nicholas on 2nd Advent and seeing the puppet theater.

Christmas Castle Market in Tegernsee
In front of the spectacular Castle Church in Tegernsee, right next to the Bräustüberl Tegernsee, a charming "Hüttendorf" village is set up during Advent, where Christmas market visitors can find regional delicacies and handicraft gift ideas as well as lovingly made souvenirs.
Besides approximately 30 stalls, there is a large alpine herdsmen's hut where you can listen to the sounds of regional musicians playing atmospheric Advent music.

Tegernsee Christmas Market Boat
Timetable:
The shuttle boats between Bad Wiessee, Tegernsee and Rottach-Egern operate on all market days between 14:00 and 19:00.
The boats operate in a clockwise direction: Tegernsee - Rottach - Bad Wiessee and call at the individual stops approximately every 30 minutes.
Prices:
- The day ticket costs €17.00.
- With the TegernseeCard, you receive a 50% discount (once per stay).
- Children up to 14 years accompanied by an adult are free of charge.

Christmas for the family
You arrive. Everything else is taken care of.
Fresh cookies and a bouquet of decorated mountain pine branches await you in your room. Outside, snow covers the mountains, and the lake steams in the cold. On Christmas Eve, the evening begins at 4:30 p.m. in the lobby area, before the festive dinner is served at 5:30 p.m.—at the Gasthof zur Weissach or the Kreuther Fondue Stubn; you decide when you book. Meanwhile, the children’s buffet is set up for the kids. One afternoon, a horse-drawn carriage will pick up the whole family: blankets draped over their knees, mulled wine and children’s punch in hand, out into a Tegernsee valley that grows quiet at this time of day.
